Mobile App Installation Guide
iOS Installation
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
- Search for "QTAG" in the search bar
- Tap "Get" or "Install" to download the app
- Wait for the installation to complete
- Open the app and log in with your QTAG credentials
Android Installation
- Open Google Play Store on your Android device
- Search for "QTAG" in the search bar
- Tap "Install" to download the app
- Wait for the installation to complete

Offline Functionality
Download Inspection Data
Before visiting sites with poor connectivity, download inspection data while connected to WiFi or mobile data.
Complete Inspections Offline
Perform inspections without internet connection. All data is stored locally and synced when connection is restored.
Automatic Sync
When you return to an area with internet connection, the app automatically syncs your offline data.
Data Synchronization
How Sync Works
- Data is automatically synced when you have internet connection
- Changes made offline are queued and uploaded when connection is available
- Conflicts are resolved automatically with the most recent data taking precedence
- You can manually trigger sync from the app settings
Sync Status Indicators
- Green: All data is synced and up to date
- Yellow: Some data is pending sync
- Red: Sync failed - check your connection
Push Notifications Setup
Enable Notifications
- Open the QTAG app
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap "Notifications"
- Enable the notification types you want to receive:
- Inspection reminders

Taking Photos During Inspections
- Start an inspection for an asset
- Tap the camera icon in the inspection form
- Choose to take a new photo or select from gallery
- Take the photo with good lighting and clear view
- Add a caption if needed
- Save the photo to the inspection record
Photo Best Practices
- Use good lighting - avoid shadows and glare
- Take photos from multiple angles when documenting issues
- Include the asset's QTAG number in the photo when possible
- Keep photos focused and clear
- Use the flash when necessary for better visibility
Barcode Scanning Features
Scanning QTAG Numbers
- Open the QTAG app
- Tap the barcode scanner icon
- Point your camera at the QR code or barcode
- Wait for the app to recognize the code
- The asset information will automatically load
